Anthracnose and Melting Out
Good Day All,
The AGCSA is holding a disease workshop with an emphasis on two of the most devastating Auckland diseases - Anthracnose and Melting Out. Megan Cushnahan from the New Zealand Sports Turf Institute has kindly made her time available for the day to present some of the key points in identifying and reducing severity of such diseases.
Details of the day are as follows.
Location: Akarana Golf Club
Date: Tuesday 6th December 2011
Time and Schedule: 10.30-11am Arrival, tea and coffee at clubhouse
11-12.30pm Megans' disease presentation
12.30-1.15pm BBQ lunch at Greens Shed
1.15-2.30pm Course Walk
2.30pm Trainee Test
This Workshop Day will also hold the first trainee test towards the Gordon West Trainee of the Year Award. Criteria for this award will be made available on the day for those who are eligible and are looking to advance themselves in the green keeping industry.
The Workshop Days are a great chance to explore fellow courses with the possibility of learning something new and to meet up with those you may not have seen for awhile so please support them as much as you can.
See you all on the 6th of December.
Kind Regards,
Martin Burger
President
